Signaling and Interlocking System at Rijekaport - Brajdica railway station
We are delighted to announce that construction work on the project “Port of Rijeka multimodal platform development and interconnection to Adriatic Gate container terminal” has been successfully completed.
Being a crucial part of this project, Iskra designed, delivered, installed, and commissioned a modern signaling and interlocking system at Rijekaport - Brajdica railway station.
Project Overview
This project is our latest achievement in the field of signaling and interlocking devices in the port of Rijeka (Brajdica railway station), where our solutions have been certified in accordance with the highest CENELEC and EU standards.
In the mid of 2018 Iskra has been given a task to protect railway station Brajdica with Iskra signaling and interlocking devices. Here Iskra has installed its own SpDrl30 interlocking devices with digital ISA approved TRIS MMI system, advanced fAdc R2 axel counting system, and SIL4 BUES2000 level crossing system.
In order to verify the compliance with Croatian national rules for DeBo and interoperability as per EU regulations for NoBo we have used Infracert. To achieve the highest safety levels for ISA and CSM compliance for AsBo we have used Italecertifier company for the assessment of safety.
With these certificates, Iskra is the only vendor on the Croatian market to have all 4 of them on a single project.
With the completion of this project, Rijeka port gets a modernized railway freight station, with the objective to significantly shift container traffic to the railway. This of course helps relieve road traffic and reduce air pollution.
