Shunting and Marshaling Yards

Iskra is not only focused on regional and mainlines but we are also focused on shunting and marshaling yards as well. After more than 30 years in service, Iskra has been given the task to modernize and upgrade one of the biggest marshaling yards in SE Europe.

The location of the project is Zalog - Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia. We are currently running a project to install a new adaptive state of the art digitalized control system to control more than 38 tracks at the same time. The works are in the commissioning phase and in 3 months’ time, the system will be handed over to Slovenian Railways. This shows Iskra's knowledge is everywhere on the tracks.
